CCL were engaged by Broadspectrum for this project.

Work scope comprised construction of:

– 2 x Transformer foundation pads.
– Installation of 3 x Oil containment tanks / Separator.
– Directional drilling of oil containment drainage pipes under live assets – reputed to be the first time Transpower has used this methodology in NZ in a live yard.
– Directly buried cable trenches and demolition of the existing traverser tracks.

Although the contract period was over several months, the Transformer foundation pads had to be constructed and cured within eight weeks to receive the new Transformers.

This project was completed on time and to budget.
